Documentation
The Knowledge Base is the foundation of every proposal Scout generates. The more you add, the stronger every draft will be. Before generating your first proposal, add at least the following.
Step 1: Add your team members Go to Knowledge Base and click the Team tab. Click Add Team Member and upload a resume PDF. Scout AI will automatically extract and fill in the profile fields including name, title, years of experience, skills, and certifications. Review the auto-filled fields, make any edits, and save.
Step 2: Add your past projects Click the Projects tab. Click Add Project and complete the 4-step wizard covering project details, scope and sustainability, media, and team. You can also import projects directly from your firm's website, upload a portfolio PDF, or import from a CSV or spreadsheet. Add at least 3 to 5 of your most relevant and recent projects.
Step 3: Upload company documents Click the Company Docs tab and upload your firm's capabilities statement, certifications, DEI statement, insurance certificates, and any boilerplate content you use in proposals regularly.
Step 4: Upload past winning proposals Click the Successful Proposals tab and upload PDFs of past proposals your firm has won. Scout AI extracts the writing patterns, structure, and language that helped you win and applies them to every new proposal automatically.
Next step: Generate your first proposal using the Response Engine.
